More information
Guided rides
The daily guided rides will comprise of a maximum of six or seven clients per group which is optimum for both safety and performance.
Our guides take navigational responsibilities out of your hands so you can concentrate on your cycling.
Each group will have a Ride Captain who will lead the ride from the front. He will provide motivation, tips and advice along the way and aim to keep you in a tight group, ensuring your safety on the road. A second rider will provide support from the back.
You can be assured that your guide will be a passionate cyclist with a wealth of cycling experience under his or her belt.
A support van will follow the rides and be on hand for mechanical assistance, water re-fills, nutrition and will carry your day packs in case for example, the weather requires a change of clothes.
Level and ability
A maximum group of fourteen clients will be split into two groups of six or seven according to experience, level and ability.
On signing up to the weekend, we will ask you to fill in a short questionnaire (included in the booking form) about your cycling history and fitness which will help us assign you to the correct group.
As a more accurate gauge, this will include asking you to provide us with your best lap time of Richmond Park, located in south-west London (if this is convenient to you geographically).
Before you go - cyclefit and bike service
Included in the price* is an expert Cyclefit and bike service (as well as subsequent Cyclefit alterations) at Pearson Performance Cycles located on Upper Richmond Road in Sheen, south-west London.
A Cyclefit is a three hour appointment where your biomechanics on the bike are analysed and your position adjusted to ensure optimum efficiency, comfort and injury prevention. The session includes pedal stroke analysis and power output assessment.
It is a valuable experience and is considered the first step in making you a better cyclist.
At the same time your bike will be professionally serviced to ensure it is in tip top condition, ready for the challenge ahead.
